Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you currently offer?
Bowen Therapy, a great foundation to help resolve a number of issues.
What is Bowen Therapy?
Bowen Therapy is a gentle, hands-on body technique that promotes deep relaxation while supporting the body’s natural healing processes. It enhances circulation to the muscles and stimulates lymphatic drainage, helping to relieve pain and discomfort effectively and often quickly.
Working through the fascia—the body’s connective tissue—Bowen Therapy is safe for people of all ages, from newborns to seniors, and can address a wide range of concerns, from sports injuries to chronic and internal conditions. Treatments involve a series of precise, subtle cross-fiber movements applied at specific points on the body with wait times to allow the body to respond. Rather than using forceful manipulation, the technique gently engages muscles, tendons, and ligaments through the fascia. While many therapies focus primarily on the musculoskeletal system, Bowen Therapy uniquely targets the connective tissue that supports and integrates the entire body.
Why Bowen Therapy?
I first came across Bowen Therapy when I was living in England. I had a really positive experience with Bowen as it helped get my spine back into alignment after an injury.
The other benefit I found since it’s so gentle, it can be done through light clothing without any oils.
And finally, as mentioned in an earlier section of the FAQ, it is safe for people of all ages (Yes, that includes babies!) It can also be performed on animals/pets.
Where are you and do you do home visits?
At the moment, I am based in Guelph, Ontario. I am available for visits at my place of residence or able to come out to you to do home visits (location and availability depending).

How long is a Bowen session?
Typically around 45 minutes. It all depends on your needs, what areas need addressing and the severity of the case.
What should I do after a Bowen session?
It is recommended that you do 3 things: Wait for the work to take effect, drink plenty of Water and Walk, where able, to keep the body moving and mobile.
